Now that another exciting holiday season has capped an extraordinary year in sports, 2019 promises to be as thrilling as ever. From the stars on skates, to the heroes of the hardwood, to the most watched television broadcast of the year on the gridiron, has you covered for the hottest sports events throughout the heart of winter.

NHL All-Star Game

After an immensely successful New Year’s Day Winter Classic that saw 76,126 passionate fans flock to Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, to see the Boston Bruins defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2, let’s head to the West Coast where the San Jose Sharks will play host to the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game at SAP Center on January 26. The Sharks boast three representatives for the Pacific Division All-Star Team, including defensemen Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns, who are both making their sixth appearances, and forward Joe Pavelski.

For the fourth straight year, the NHL will use a four-team (by division), three-on-three, single-elimination tournament format for its midyear classic. Each game consists of two 10-minute halves, with ties settled by a shootout. Click to purchase 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game tickets.

Sidney Crosby (Penguins), reigning MVP Taylor Hall (Devils), and Henrik Lundqvist (Rangers) highlight a talented Metropolitan Division squad. Nikita Kucherov (Lightning) and Auston Matthews (Maple Leafs) look to lead the Atlantic Division to victory. Patrick Kane (Blackhawks) and Nathan MacKinnon (Avalanche) headline the Central Division team, while Connor McDavid (Oilers) headlines the Pacific Division with the aforementioned Sharks representatives.

The 2019 NHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place in San Jose on Friday, January 25, at 9 PM ET on NBCSN. View it at 8 PM ET, Saturday, January 26, on NBC.

Super Bowl LIII

Sports will take center stage in the living rooms of hundreds of millions television viewers on Sunday, February 3, as Super Bowl LIII kicks off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Click here to purchase Super Bowl tickets.

Heading into this weekend, the semi-final matchups are the New England Patriots playing at Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has been the home of the NFL’s Falcons and defending MLS champions Atlanta United FC since 2017 and boasts the world’s largest video board inside a sports venue. It is topped with a retractable roof and can seat over 77,000 attendees for a single event. Atlanta has previously hosted two Super Bowls, both at the Georgia Dome in 2000 and 1994 respectively.

Fans who flock to the home of the Falcons hope the contest will be as exciting as the 2018 version. Channeling his best Doug Williams and Jeff Hostetler, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles filled in for the injured Carson Wentz to lead his team down the stretch of the season all the way to a Super Bowl victory in Minneapolis.

Foles completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards, including three touchdowns, and caught a touchdown pass en route to being named Super Bowl MVP and leading the Eagles to a thrilling Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots, 41-33.

For those who enjoy all facets of the big game experience (not to mention the commercials), Maroon 5 will be headlining the halftime show, which will also feature appearances by Travis Scott and Big Boi.

Super Bowl LIII is slated to begin at 6:30 PM ET on CBS.

NBA All-Star Game

No basketball season is complete without the theatrics of NBA All-Star Weekend. From the dunks to the threes to the alley-oops to the celebrity sightings, there are few events in sports like it. The festivities will be held in the hoops hotbed state of North Carolina, as Charlotte claims center stage for the weekend of February 15 – 17. Tickets for the NBA All-Star Game available here.

The weekend kicks off Friday night at Bojangles Coliseum with the 2019 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at 7 PM ET, followed by the NBA Rising Stars Challenge at 9 PM ET at Spectrum Center.

NBA All-Star Saturday Night heats up with the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest at Spectrum Center. Spencer Dinwiddie (Nets) is the defending champion of the Skills Challenge, while Devin Booker (Suns) was the ace from long-distance and Donovan Mitchell (Jazz) jammed his way to a title in Los Angeles in 2018.

The highlight of the weekend commences at the home of the Hornets on Sunday, February 17, as last year’s format of two captains picking teams (as opposed to East vs. West) remains intact from last year. Will reigning All-Star Game MVP LeBron James reclaim his throne in his first year as a Laker? Will James Harden continue his unfathomable scoring pace and break Anthony Davis’ single game All-Star Game record of 52 points?

Find out when the 68th NBA All-Star Game tips off at 8 PM ET on TNT.
